  1. No more boomerang is a very good poem, it says what the aboriginals had and now what they have got.

This would be a extremly big stuggle for some aborignals. They have to overcome massive boundaries. They have to change to our standard of living now.

They used to walk around naked no sham at all. Now they have to cloth to hide whats his name.
They are used to being so free and hunt for food but now they have to work hard like a nigger to buy a white man meal.

Nobody calls me a wog... Anymore is a awesome poem where a man goes around to schools across the country telling them his personal boundaries he had to over come as a kid.

This poet had to over come to much as a child. Getting called a wog is very racist and hurtful.
I don't know how this man over came a boundary like this to become a great poet and tell schools how cruel his life was to him.

  2. Whilst growing up both Komninos and Oodgeroo faced racism about their culture and way of life.

Kimninos was being accused of being a wog and his mates were to ashamed to call him as his real name so they called him Kevin.

Oodgeroo was forced to change her name to w white person name because people did not respect her aboriginal name.

  4. when they were growing up komninos and oogeroo were affected by racism like for example when oodgeroo was growing up she was told to change her native name to a white europen name, whilst komninos was called a wog and he was told to go back to his country. They were both from their own country.

Oodgeroo was affected by colinasation. when they were growing they used to watch corroboress but now they watch movies.

Komninos was told to go back to his home or hiws country. they didnt understand that he was from australaia. He had to struggle with racism.

Oodgeroo has not really overcome it. She still wishes she had her native rights and her native beleifs. She can deal with boundaries but she dosnt choose to.

Komninos is still coping with racism. He has dealt with racism now that he has become more popular and famous. He has overcome the boundarie of racism

  5. In the poem "nobody calls me wog anymore" komninos explains how it effects his personal life and how he over comes his boundaries.

In the "poem no more boomerang" it also has boundaries that the aborigional people had to face when the white people came and the different standards of living they now have.

Both of the poems have to overcome massive boundaries.

  8. In the poem "Nobody Calls Me A Wog Anymore" Komninos explains how it affects his personal struggles and how he overcomes the boundaries of being called a wog.

He now goes around telling people about his life and what it was like being called a wog, and the all the boundaries faced around that.

In the poem "No more boomerang" Ooderoo explains that it was a very big struggle for some of the aboriginals to cope with what happened.

They have had to overcome some very big boundaries. Some aboriginals had to change a lot of there normal daily life and got things that meant everything to them, got taken away. Aboriginal’s lost everything, when the white people came and took it all away.

In the poems they show how the boundaries are faced at them and it also shows how the boundaries affected them and their lives. In both poems they tell us how it feels when it all happened and how they are coping now.

The poems both relate back to the theme boundaries and they both show clearly how they do.

  9. Both the authors of these two poems both went through struggles growing up.

Komninos the author of ‘nobody calls me a wog, anymore” was called a wog as a child because of the way he looked and because of his name. Kids would call him ‘me wog mate Kevin’. Komninos didn’t like this, he knew he was Australian like everyone else.

Komninos has overcome his boundary, people now respect him as an Australian. But it didn’t just happen like it says ‘I had to assert myself’. He is a full time writer and has a wife and kids.

Oodgeroo the author of ‘no more boomerang’ lifestyle was changed because the Europeans took over their land and everything became their way of life. People were no longer hunting for food, they didn’t do any traditional dances they now wear clothes and so on.

Oodgeroo was affected by this, she doesn’t seem too happy about this because of her attitude to this poem. she hasn’t overcome this, she still likes her traditional life.

  10. Both of these authors growing up faced major struggles in their lives.

The author of ‘Nobody calls me a wog, anymore’ Komninos Zervous, had to deal with being tease and bullied his whole childhood.
People would call him ‘me wog mate Kevin’, instead of his real name Komninos.
They would also tell him to go back to his own country but the fact is, he was born, raised and currently lives in Australia. He is as much of an Australian as an one of us.

Oodgeroo the author of ‘No more Boomerang’ has struggled the most with the fact that they have had to change their way of life to suit the Europeans.
Whilst growing up Oodgeroo was asked to change her name to a white European name.
They no longer hunt for their food, or watch dances for entertainment.

Komninos is now a respected Australian writer and is no longer called a wog and told to go back to his own country.

Oodgeroo however, is not dealing with the change to her culture as well as a Komninos is. She still wishes she had she had her old way of life back.

  11. ‘No More Boomerang’ reflects the personal struggles that Oodgeroo Noonuccal had in her life time. She had to change her name to a white persons name just because it was different.

In her poem it explains how things have changed over her life time and how her generation has been lost. Telling stories was no more it had turned into ‘Now we got movies, and pay to go in.”

Komninos Zervos wrote the poem ‘Nobody Calls Me a Wog, Anymore’ which reflects how he grew up. Everybody treated him differently when he was growing up. He got called a ‘Wog’ all his life and got told to go back to his own country even though he was born in Melbourne.

In the poem he explains how it got him frustrated that everyone did that. He says how he’s an Aussie as well and that just because he has a different name is doesn’t mean he should be treated differently.

Both poems are about how racism affected their lives as they grew up and now they are just putting their feelings onto paper. They both give a very good point of view on their lives.

  12. Both Komninos Zervos and Oodgeroo Noonuccal have faced massive struggles growing up in life.

Komninos Zervos, the author of "Nobody Calls Me A Wog, Anymore" says in his poem how he grew up and what he had to face. In this poem it says that people used to tell him to go back to his own country, but Komninos was actually born and raised in Australia. He still lives here.

Also in the poem it says that people used to call him "me wog mate kevin" instead of calling him his real name, Komninos Zervos.

The author of "No More Boomerang" Oodgeroo Noonucal had to face things changing in her life as the Europeans took over Australia. She states a lot of things that changed in her childhood. "One time naked, who never knew shame; now we put clothes on to hide whatsaname" which means Aboriginals used to be able to walk around and it didn't matter, now that the Europeans took over they have to where clothes to hide whatsaname.

Another change stated in this poem is:" no more corroboree, gay dance and din. Now we got movies, and pay to go in" means that Aboriginies used to dance for entertainment, now once the Europeans took over there are movies we have to pay to get in.

Both the poems are about how they got bullied and how racism affected there live in there childhood. They both have gave a great point of view on what changed and what happened in there lives.
